Thanks, Psjunkie. It's a combination of exposure and development along with the capabilities of the scanning software I use. From there it's off to PS and a new approach I'm using doing Zonal Processing. It seems to work really well. This is the first time I've tried it on a scanned negative. I've spent last week working with it on digital images. Then it was a question, I wonder how well it would work on a scanned photo? I guess pretty well.

That is the coolest image I’ve seen in a while Bob. I’m impress with the way you used the concrete whatever-it-is to form a frame for the scene and its viewer, and the way you’ve processed it to keep the extremes of the exposure looking so contrasty but still hold onto the details in the tones. This one is a winner all the way around - composition, exposure, processing, and sheer visual smarts.

Thank you, Minnie, for the extremely kind words. I'm very appreciative of your visit and comments.

The concrete "whatever it is" is an underpass which allows bike riders and people walking to cross under a rather busy street. The path follow the edge of a few man made lakes in the park area. This area is also part of a planned flood plain. During heavy rains it is usually flooded and not useable.

Thank you, St3v3. You're correct. The person walking ahead of me brought that scene together nicely.
