I see it in the news and all over the internet about the lose of veterans. Your images keep the reminder "alive", and I thank you for the stunning images, as I will never forget their sacrifices.

You should get together with a local writer and put a book together showcasing this series of images. It's very powerful and very moving and very personal to a lot of people. I think you'd find some success with a project like that. Specially since book publishing has gone on demand, making it easier to see your work in print.

These are all wonderful. The middle one is very evocative, and tells a story anyone anywhere would understand. Pressed between the other two, they become an even stronger story. Thank you for sharing these.

I agree with Duck that a book is in order. Your work of this sort, telling the quiet stories, would work so well in a large collection such as what's offered with a book.

Thank you for your service, Ernst.

(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

All the great photographers use cameras! No, really. :|

Evocative pictures Ernst. Lovely portrayal
As an outsider. What does " Ringing of the Bell Ceremony" mean.
Is it vets from all wars who die or those who die in combat?
Kind regards;

Thanks everyone for the comments.

Ed, At the last Friday of the month we have a small ceremony here where veterans gather and read the names of Washington State Vets that have passed the previous month. This is at our Liberty Park right next to our County Court House and they ring the bell for each name.
Today is the Day, a New Day.
