Linda, I just Yank Folks of the Sidewalk when I have the chance. Introduce myself, let them know I have a studio right here, would you mind coming up and allowing me to take your portrait? Most say YES!

Wonderful, insightful, sensitive, and empathetic portraits.
Friends call me Chuck. :photo: This link takes you to my Flickr albums. Please click on any album to scroll through it.
(I prefer to present pictures in albums because I can put them in specific order.)

If you have any work in your studio window, it's no wonder they will come inside to be photographed!

This is a great, slightly quirky image of a seriously quirky looking guy. The second image is more serious, but equally moving. Good work.

I find that most people will allow us to take photos if we ask, and many really like having their photos made.

Here is another one from this series. This was from my older studio location which was at street level. I moved the studio around the corner just alittle over a year ago and now I'm on the 2nd floor, so now
I don't have a display window like I use to. However not having that display window hasn't hurt my business. Right next to my studio space we have a large exhibit space with monthly shows, a stage which
brings up bands, plays, etc. and an old 50's bar where they have Drink & Draw events, meetings, fundraisers, etc. So lots more folks are seeing my studio, with the art community visiting quite often.

Best to ya, Ernst

Sounds like you have a good set-up to interest people and draw them in, within an area where art is valued.

Perfect.

And you've added a really nice portrait here, unusual being almost face-free, but still quite lovely and arresting.

I have to say you find the coolest cats and have a gift for showing their inner soul!

Love the image, the processing, and the depth. Thank you for sharing another work of art! S-
