Canon 7DII - Changing AF Area Modes in Viewfinder

Postby laura72568 » Fri Jan 01, 2016 9:03 pm

Ugh...I guess I am having a major "camera brain" moment. In trying to explain to my Dad (who just got his 7DII yesterday) how to change AF area modes, I find that even though I have all options checked in "Select AF area selec. mode" in the menu, when I go to change it in my viewfinder it only switches between one and five focal points. I thought it was supposed to toggle between all options that are checked in the menu item mentioned. Help???

Never mind!!! I figured it out. I had the 100-400mm with extender on the camera at the time and the extender limits the focus areas available.
