Theme - Abstract

Tried one of my favorite ways to do nature abstracts, turning a picture upside down and cropping it funny. The little drainage ditch down the road.
Now that’s a novel personally stereotyped approach to abstracts!
I like the result.
Cool!

It's a particularly fun strategy in the swamps down here with all the cypress knees.

this week's theme: food I cooked

so I just took a picture of breakfast, a few minutes ago. Dutch baby pancake. Food photography is not my interest but probably it should be since it's about the most interesting aspect of my life right now. I hate coronavirus.

Well, for some of us, just realizing that we have awakened to another morning is no small thing from which to exact some definite measure of joy! And yes, my days, like food, can vary widely in quality, but generally are what I can make ‘of em.

A day with a grandchild (yesterday) is better than a day with the dryer repairman (today).

Here’s my recipe for Dutch baby pancakes. I discovered them when spending significant time in Buffalo when eldest son was playing ball there. Started making them again during pandemic boredom.

Theme this week - Symmetry

I was just at the point of choosing a new object to replace the sweetgum leaves that had replaced the feather and wanted something really mundane so I took a picture of a light bulb. Then I tried to make symmetry out of it which naturally required doubling it, and more.

Then I felt guilty about faking the symmetry so I went out last night to my favorite symmetrical place and I'm posting a picture from that raggedy little pier too.
