Week #2 has a weird theme "Faces in Other Places"

Well, I took a few shots of the grandson while we were in New Orleans visiting the Aquarium of the Americas, posed in the photo op background they have. I added a shot of the parrot he liked best to replace the cartoon parrot on the background, and played a good bit in Photoshop and Impressions. I may add another if either of the other two efforts I have turn out. I think they really meant for us to look for faces in tree bark or something, but we have not had a dry day in 2 weeks so I did my own interpretation.

Thanks Piet. This was a phone shot, so it left much to be desired, it is more play than picture.

I do! I’m one of the moderators there so I’d feel guilty if I didn’t, no matter how I have to contort the theme to make something work.

Here was the other contender that I was working on. I was rather aimlessly taking some shots I might could use as faces in a composite while I was at the country house a few days ago, including some photos of the long gone family members who lived there. I took this one of my mother's baby picture, then saw it was spoilt by the reflections, then noticed the self portrait sitting on her baby knee so fiddled with it.

You fiddled with it well and I tossed it in arm...couldn't help myself..nicely done minniev. I like how you were able to turn the whole frame into a time warp.

Week #3 - Doubles - two different shots of the same image

So I went out in the cloudy wet gloom Friday AM and checked out the swamp. Like everything else it was under water. But at sunrise there was a little break in the clouds and some gold and blue sneaked in. I shot the same scene two ways, one straightforward and one with deliberate camera movement and slow shutter. And then, since that wasn't enough, I stacked and played with them in layers in PS.
