The painterly look a good choice I think...consider removing the night light..seems out of place for the scene portrayed..

Gee I almost forgot to post this week's 52 project image. This week's theme is Close Up

This little flower is about 1/2 inch long, so there aint much to it. Mainly an experiment in artistic flower stuff. I may have too much texture on the flower itself. Or other bad stuff.

I guess I'd have to see it with less to know but what I do see is wonderful...very well done, great color palette and composition...like this one a lot.

Thank you! I used PS blur tools to create the backdrop from what was in the photo instead of trying to replace it. The light was nice but the ground was ugly and scruffy so I reimagined it.

Worked well...good re-imagination....and you've got the light coming in from right to left just right.

The Street Where You Live
is this week's topic. I'm not at my country house, so I was stuck doing my rather boring subdivision home. But I did two photos of my street, because the best part of my subdivision home is walking across the street to the other side. I live on the last street that was carved out of the forest 40 years ago, and I can go into that forest just by crossing the street and there it is. The grandsons like to explore, and I do too. It's boggy so no one's been tempted to clearcut and build there, but it has some wonderful trees that have canopied well, keeping the undergrowth down. There's lots of deer in there, and other wildlife like raccoons, possums, herons, owls.

Thanks. The first is what I do when I shoot the occasional real estate shot. But the eye of the veteran? I dunno Frank, most days I feel like I am still a newbie.
