All I'd have to do is render them as shot instead of raising the shadows. I'll try it. They were in the same light, but I doggedly tried to get some of their whiteness back into them.

Zeke and Gene didn't stay up for the eclipse. I did of course, but of course didn't get any good photos. During the penumbral phase I got some decent shots but things went too dark during the eclipse for my camera to keep up with. So I got everybody up early and we went out for the first sunrise in 3 weeks that wasn't entirely gray. Here's the story, told in lurid shades of pink and orange.

Zeke took exception to me having a hat on. I guess because Gene and Brother have had hats since he met them, he doesn’t mind theirs, but when I put mine on he went on full alert and barked for the first time. He loves being out though, ripped and ran through the frozen puddles like they were nothing.

Foolishly I again posted my 52 image too early as a freestanding entry instead of holding it for the 52 thread so instead of the theme of "cold" I'm posting its' opposite: Spring Is Coming, also entitled "left handed batter".

My oldest son was somewhat of a baseball phenomenon from the time he first picked up a plastic bat, until injuries sent him into early retirement from the Red Sox. So lots of our time was spent on little league fields. My two older grandsons are not that into baseball. But I have hope for the youngest, a lefty like his uncle, tough as nails, and willing to stay out all day in the cold with no jacket, hitting balls while wearing mardi gras beads.
