This week's prompt is "Apples". No apple trees in Mississippi and since I'll be leaving in a few days I have no fresh fruit around the house. So, I reworked an old one to be more artistic. And by next weekend I should have a new apple picture to add, because there are some old apple trees on Monhegan.

apple rework is very cool. Love the texture and color. Has a slight horrific aspect to it - apples with measles (or something). LOL, add a gnarled hand picking them and call it Gift for Snow White (or whoever it was that got the apple). Eve picked one too, apples don't have a very nice history.

Lovely for any dining room/kitchen wall. Love the post processing touch you have applied here. Good to know there will be many apples in the future.

We should have some fun with the apples. They show up in the some the oddest places.

Last Week's Assignment - Still Life

I spent last week on Monhegan Island with Duck, Dave Chinn and our spouses so I did lots of shooting but I really wasn't in a position to create a still life, so I stole one. I took this at the lighthouse museum, and wrangled around with it in PS with help from Topaz Impression. I'm not happy with some parts of it but may tinker some more now that I'm home. I did have PS with me, an old version on my older laptop, but that screen is not very good for editing.

It's a nice shot, but strangely (or perhaps not so strangely) I think if you got behind the chain, you would have moved things around a little so that things weren't in such symmetry.

That is true. And I probably could have moved things at will since there are no chains or guards.

When I asked about the key to our cottage, I was told it had none. Many houses have no keys or even locks.
