This week’s theme - texture. I love texture even though it doesn’t make for dramatic photos. Here’s a few samples from this past weekend.

I'm sure the chair photo would look fabulous with some grunge of some sort applied. Then maybe the dramatic appeal will shine !!!
Dave
I will definitely grunge it up. It's a cool relic from other days but I haven't found the right way to shoot and/or present it.

Got three weeks behind counting today, so here's my assignments for

1. Eyes - the glassy eyes of my grand-cat Martin, a refugee who joined my son's family after the hurricane that separated him from his home in St. Maartens.

2. In The Air - fireworks show in Nashville.

3. Feet - Shot on the Molly Bawn earlier this week out from Witless Bay, NF - the boots of our human guide Jeannine framing the head of our canine guide Arwen, who tracks whales by their smell while they are underwater.

This week's theme "Complex"

I chose to interpret it as complex work, and undertook a composite from different villages in Newfoundland and Labrador, compiled into one scene.

LOL, complex by definition is the kitchen sink, there is no escaping it! Ha! (I like it though)

I like it also..even though to me the left side seems like an image while the right seems more like a painting.......

I see what you mean but not sure how it worked, since I applied the same paint to the whole thing once I stuck all the pieces together. Will see what can be done...maybe doubling that paint layer just in those areas.
