From your description I feel a crop with some darkening of the foreground and brightening of the background would be in order...hard to describe what I envision....

Thanks Frank !!! Some cropping have already been done. I didn't want to crop anymore for fear of an unbalanced image. The foreground was an ugly site and could not be avoided at that particular location and lens used. Better choices should be used on my part, but now know differently. Maybe more color, would have been a better choice?

Dave, I really like the fisheye and the selenium treatment. The texture is super and the detail is remarkable; they keep me moving in the frame. Very well done. Matt

Thanks Matt !!! I'm still learning the boundaries with the fisheye, so there is no telling what may be posted once used. I do think the lens worked well with this particular image, more practice needed in the future.

#44 is a photo from New Orleans, but was post processed this week. It's an old trumpet in its case. I wasn't sure where I was gonna go with it, but did want a vintage soft rough look so to speak.

Nicely done although I'm unsure if the rose petals or leaves by the horn are needed...

Nice creation Dave! I love how you integrated the music notes and tied it all together with light and texture. It’s a little ghostly/mysterious, but NOLA fits those criteria!

Thanks Frank !!! I'm unsure of any rose petal placements. Maybe you're referring to the musical notes?

Thanks Minnie !!! This image almost cost me the purchase price of a CD from the owner. I'm glad I stood my ground and didn't make the purchase. I'm usually a sucker that gets drawn in to areas of not my liking. This was taken outside of Cafe Du Monde as we were leaving. Maybe I should have posted the original for a better view of "what the hell is it"? I may have gone overboard with my processing, "fly by the seat of my pants", so here is the original. Nothing to write home about, so most should maybe understand the "WHY" in my choice of post processing this way in an attempt to make something out of nothing.

Maybe it's just the texture but I don't see these shapes anywhere else....just a touch distracting for me is all as I see no added value to the image because of them

Yea, it's just the textured layer Frank. After you circled to point them out I see where it can be a bit distracting.
