Mostly black in my eyes. Clever, opportunistic, creative and memorable. Matt
And inspired by Matt Quinn’s “Tiffany Lamp” :)
Thanks Minnie. Inspiration can come from the oddest places, it seems. Matt

This week the Wheel gave me Food as a subject. Well, I'm not a food photographer by any means, but I did have a go. I took the photo with my iphone, which I'm trying to get more handy with. The pie was made with my own fresh blueberries. Since it was just out of the stove I had to add some vanilla ice cream. After I finished my pie, I edited the photo with LRCC on my phone.

Wheel gave me "Urban Decay".
Since I was headed to Nashville for the weekend I assumed I'd have no problem finding urban decay in a city that large. Nashville surprised me with its cleanliness, its rapid absorption/renewal of wrecked architecture. Decay turned out to be hard to find. In the Nations industrial district, known for its blight in the very recent past, I found several huge grain elevators in various states of disrepair and began photographing them. But on the side of one I found this giant, rather amazing mural. It is emblematic of the renewal of Nations, and of the people who've stuck it out here, like the 91 year old subject of this portrait. https://1075theriver.iheart.com/feature ... ries-tall/. Fanciful processing of course.

Well done minniev...I'd consider cropping in from the right almost to the building and possibly cloning the lower left building sign and tree.

that last image is amazing - I can't imagine the effort that the painter took on this! How on earth did he do it... He couldn't exactly step away to see what it looks like..
