So the pumpkins were at eye level. We head back to MD next week leaving New England behind till next year so I need to keep my finger on the shutter while here. Thanks again. Matt
Matt's Project 52: A Year in B&W
#52-7
We visited Maine recently, and, while my wife browsed a knit shop, I strolled in the nearby woods and came upon this happy surprise; the late afternoon sun had lit up the branch of a hidden tree. Fortunately, I had my iPhone. Thank you, again, Steve Jobs. MattPeeking branch 4 (1 of 1).jpg
I understand the attraction and I took a bunch of these kinds of shots last week. Though well taken, it doesn't have as much power in the photograph as it probably has in person. That is the trouble I'm having with mine, anyway. I like it because I know what it DID look like in person, especially the light on that lone leaf which I suspect was yellow. I hope you'll take a look at mine when I get around to posting them and see if we can help each other
Minnie, thanks for the comments on 52-5,6 & 7. As soon as you post, let me know.
I am becoming dissatisfied with the type of photos I have been taking and posting (sand, sea and sky) and want to stretch, but don't know which way to go, so, in my next post, I plan to try something new. I have several ideas in mind but am not sure which I will pursue; I will alert you when I post.
Yes, the branch almost reached out to me and was very powerful while there but lost its impact on screen. I need to resist the temptation to post photos that fall short. Thanks again for your support and encouragement. I am flattered to know you are watching. Matt
