#52-37: A Patient Tree: Waiting for Summer

I am getting ahead with my posting, but suspect events will slow me down sometime soon. Taken at a parking lot on Cape Cod Bay; had the place to myself. Even the gulls had gone. Matt

The beach in winter always has a lonely dramatic feel. Good capture.
Thanks Minnie. I was pleased too. I also like the austere quality of these moments. Matt

#52-38: Trying to Stay in the Zones

Bob Malarz has explained how he shoots for specific zones in his B&W photos. This is my first attempt to practice what he taught. Matt

#40: Chilly Morning After a Chilly Night

Temps overnight in the teens grew a thin skin of ice on the Grist Mill Pond, even though it is moving water feeding into and forming Paines Creek. Numb fingers. After 5 minutes, I lose sensation; gloves are too cumbersome. So, I compose, shoot, put gloves on till fingers are warm, repeat. Matt

I like the last two river-scapes, with the branches like stretching arms and fingers.
