52 weeks of Life Wide Open...............At 2.8

Post by PeteD » Fri Feb 26, 2016 2:44 am

Well, I have been signed in for three days now!! I promised I would keep checking. Thank you for all the hard work to the owners, staff, and mods.

With that said, let's try this again.

Was not going to do another as I like to challenge myself. I have done a 365, and 3, 52 weekers. So I was like, I can not come up with anything new. Just as I thought that I looked up and saw one of my cameras sitting there. It had the 70-200 f2.8 on it. So then, it hit me. Do not have any idea how this will go. Using a portrait aperture for everything................

Follow along and we'll see.

Please, if you have any comments, good or bad please do not hesitate. How else will I learn. I won't bite.

I have been going at it for a few weeks now, so here are the ones I have already to catch me/you up.

Welcome back Pete!
I'm so glad that things got worked out so that you can post again. :)

Nice start to your new 52. Limiting your aperture should definately add to the challange.

One tidbit/suggestion for ya. Going wide open can cause some noticable chromatic aberration in some of the shots (like week #3). You can reign it in a bit in PS, or Lightroom if you have the time.

I too wonder about the safety of those things Pete. Years from now, I half-expect them to learn that they are more hazardous to your health than smoking. They haven't been fully tested and and approved by the FDA, right?

Could not find anywhere else to put this on the site

Was at a local pond this weekend testing the new camera , taking photos of waterfowl . There was a mother and daughter (I assume) about 100 yards away blowing bubbles and every so often, one would venture out over the

Nice shot Pete. We're still getting temps in the 30's.
