My niece wanted me to take her photo commemorating a VERY exciting time in her life...she was accepted to her college of choice, Sam Houston State University! She's so excited...and I'm a proud Auntie. Photographing people is not my favorite thing, but for her I'd do just about anything!

I got lucky today and was able to find a very friendly Painted Bunting that was more than willing to model for me! ISO 400, f/9, 1/250. Canon 7DII, 100-400mm with 1.4 extender.

I have a friend visiting this week and we had a private tour of four out of the ten "Painted Churches of Texas". They were absolutely stunning. Here's an image I took at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption near Praha TX.
Panasonic LX100, f/2.8, 1/160, ISO1250.

I just returned from a week in Illinois visiting my Dad...we had a great afternoon practicing our birds in flight on some very active White Pelicans at Sunset Marina!
