The photo is a bit soft, but acceptable. To be honest, I'm kinda amazed and jealous that you managed to get one that clear at 1/20th and 300mm! It would have been a blurred mess if I'd tried it.

Very nice Laura. You froze the action very well.

I keep telling myself that I'm going to attempt to shoot hummingbirds, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I love photographing hummingbirds...I know many folks who use off-camera flash, etc, but I usually just use shutter priority at 1250 and ISO of 1000-1250 on a sunny day and that does the trick pretty well.

So, I took a tour of a ranch in Anahuac TX yesterday. Hot and buggy, but I had some birding success! Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.

Canon 7DII 100-400mmII with 1.4 extender --- f/9, 1/320, ISO400.

I have a lot going on next week, so I will post another shot from Anahuac for next week as well.
