Laura's 2016 Attempt at PROJECT 52 - #1
I'm going to attempt this Project 52 and see how it goes. I'm going to play "catch-up" today and get my first four weeks posted.
I am not going to follow a theme or make a lot of rules for myself...but just capture things as they happen this year. I do some IR, some black & white and some color so I don't want to limit myself to one genre. I shoot with four cameras...a Canon 5DSr, a Canon 7DII, a Canon SX50, and a Panasonic Lumix converted to IR.
HERE WE GO!
Week #1 - this image was shot at the Franklin TX Drive-Thru Safari with my 7DII and 100-400mm lens...ISO 1000, f/16, 1/250.

WEEK #2 - A horse that was in a pasture on the way to town. Had to turn around and take a photo. Light was beautiful.

WEEK #3 - I was not having any luck finding wildlife in Huntsville State Park a few weeks ago. So, I started finding other things to photograph, like the texture of tree bark.

WEEK #4 - I took this photo last week of a beautiful calf that was less than a week old. I post-processed in Lightroom, messing around with Split Toning.

WEEK #5 - I'm getting little ahead of myself, but I took this photo of my husband yesterday and I really liked it. His old boots were getting retired and we decided it would be a good photo op to photograph the worn out boots and then make it black & white in Lightroom.
ISO 500, f/2.8, 1/250. Window light only.

I took some shots at sunset at a farm pond where some ducks were spending the afternoon. It was such a beautiful color and it created such a pretty reflection. ISO 1250, f/6.3, 1/1000. Exposure/tones adjusted slightly in LR.
