Week 2 - sorta (Having Friday & Saturday as my days off, my week is a bit shifted from most)

I had to replace the radiator in the ol' truck today. I'm too chicken to pick up my camera with dirty hands, so only have these of the job.

Ok, maybe the cat isn't giving me one for not mowing the lawn a final time and not putting the mower up, but I felt like she was. :)

Week 4

Got bored and decided to see what I could get with my camera set to it's maximum ISO and a bit of playing in photoshop. A bit rough on the editing, but interesting experiment.

Well, apart from the model seeming a bit wooden in her expression, the high iso performance seems pretty good with the processing you applied..

Thanks John. :)
I used Topaz DeNoise on it. I found that running it thru once with global settings wasn't quite working for me. It was giving me too much noise or giving some of the hair a funky blur. I ended up running it thru Denoise three times, masking out the areas I wanted for each layer. I was surprised and impressed with the end results, especially it was at 6400 ISO on a cropped sensor camera.

I agree with Onslow about your last post. Like the snowflake, too! But I especially like all your family portraits!

Thanks Martha.
I'd do more portraits, but my little studio doesn't have much heat in it and it's been pretty cold. As you can see, my last model was frozen stiff!
I do hope to drag some folks with a pulse into it soon though.
