It's a nice shot, but strangely (or perhaps not so strangely) I think if you got behind the chain, you would have moved things around a little so that things weren't in such symmetry.
That is true. And I probably could have moved things at will since there are no chains or guards.

When I asked about the key to our cottage, I was told it had none. Many houses have no keys or even locks.
that speaks volumes about their culture - and their trust.

This week's theme - Unusual Perspective

On Trap Day the lobster boats load regardless of tide, but at low tide are 20+ feet below the dock where I was in this shot. So they drop them down with a hand-cranked winch. This is Legacy, with its captain Sherm and its sternman Lauren. Most boats put in 300 traps on Trap Day, and each trap weighs about 50 lbs. This is Legacy's third run of the day, which began before dawn.

Theme: Creative Movement

Got back last night from 5 days at the beach with the kids/grandkids. The 7 year old is a very early riser so he and I went on dawn photo walks every day. He used his trusty cellphone which does not work for calls anymore but still has a functional camera. He got into setting this one up, running at different speeds in different directions to get a set, then we picked the one that best blurred him but not much else. This was our choice.
