Matt's Project 52: A Year in B&W
#52-52: A Shadow of Myself; Signing Off

Today, I received a confirmed diagnosis of lymphoma; tomorrow we see the oncologist for the verdict. So, this will be my final posting in this thread. My thanks for all the help and encouragement all have offered; I have learned a great deal.

Time permitting, I will start another thread....

Best to all.

Matt

Thanks Steve. Feeling great today. Must be chemicals. Will stay in episodic touch. Matt

#52-53

Well, the year's not up, so I'll keep going. Maureen bought a lily at Costco; when she wasn't watching, I took a few shots. I know this is too dark with no detail in the blacks, but, what the heck. Just playing in the playpen.

Welcome home!

I love it. Your velvety processing really makes it come to life. You've done a fine job of celebrating what's right with the world. Check out that thread when you have the time, I think you'd like it. We haven't got anybody else into it yet besides me and Steve, I don't think, but I thought of you when it first went up.

Some folk will say you should get the pistil in focus rather than the stamen, but it works for me this way. Still, you might want try one with the pistil sharp as a knife and see if you like it, while you've got the lily in peak condition. Then take some as it leaves peak. I actually look for flawed or wilted flowers. There's possibilities right there in the house while you're home-bound.

those lily shots are stunning - strong tones, beautiful, I think you are showing off also. They are wonderful.
