#21 - I would not have been able to take that pic without requesting removal of the garbage can :)

#22 - the processing is super on this feast of textures and lines. As always, your humor is laigniappe :)

Re: A Brace of Dam Birds

I'm very drawn to the massive geometry of #1 against the delicate bird. Curious how whiter water and whiter bird would look? I'm not feeling #2 because of the large amounts of black - ironic since you're usually about lifting shadows and I'm about silhouettes or contrasts :) I like the position of t...

Re: Rainbow Dyed Daisies (DOF testing)

Great demo, Chuck! Your indoor tests will serve you well for whenever spring finally arrives. And somehow, it always does! I used to want to smack my co-workers in Maine, though, when they'd remark about an April SNOW shower: "oh it won't stick." HA HA

Get well soon!

Re: Cedar Waxwing

Steve, Duck and Piet - thanks so much for your time and feedback. Piet, ironically most years there were so many cherries, the sidewalks got covered and we tracked red into our apartments and onto our gray carpets! This year was sparce because of aggressive tree trimming in the spring. I only saw th...

Very generous and kind of you to say, Piet. I adore this original view. The bird is so tiny and delicate, for me it is better suited to this less-is-more version.

I like it, the color is right, the light is right, the second hurts my eyes a little, but it's what you'd expect on a morning rise. I can't help to think I've been there, but never so cold! Well done! Are you working on a series? Where was this? S- Thanks for your comments, Steve! This is the Yakim...

Re: Hawk on a cupola with a big moon added

It's odd but I don't like the bird on the right in the first image, I think it has something to do with balance, but I can't decide if it has to do with the other bird, or being so close to the post. There was a time I would leave it, but I can't help but notice it and wonder how it would look with...

I keep looking for the cartoon balloon that says Bark in the first and have so many questions about the second. The third! S-
The pun is that the background is tree bark :) Questions about my sheep? Ask away! You're usually not shy with questions, Steve :|
