'WoodStock .... 50 Years Later'

This is a composite of two images, both taken on Monhegan Island. I was a good distance from the lady that was taken in late morning. The image of the window/doorway was taken early evening. Not knowing exactly what to do with the image of the lady since I wasn't 100% satisfied because of the moving...

lost patience, flattened it and went into an editing frenzy - oversaturated and dark, but it was were I was.. might revisit it or perhaps not, but The Witch has Landed! witch8s.jpg

Yes, she has landed !!! Absolutely wonderful work Piet. She is so unattractively sexy. 8):

Re: Fog, Water, and Love

On the riverwalk in New Orleans last week. I accidentally put it in Showcase, but please make any suggestions or comments you want. Love the mood here Minnie. I do agree with Piet. Not quite sure how I would attack this, but his suggestion is a good start. I would have liked to see the kissing coup...

Re: Bead Tree

This is a slightly fanciful interpretation of a tree along the Mardi Gras parade route midway through the season. My goal was to render the plastic beads like glass, and for the heck of it I overlaid a shot of a piece of irridescent glass. I left the crushed orange traffic cone in on purpose for re...

Re: the witch is near

need some thoughts -- the witch. Her skin will be normal flesh - her antlers with the writhing snakes will be yellowish - her wings are blue greenish (can I get away with that?) But my main problem/question is her clothes - do I go for a red? (or is that too many colors). It could be a unifying yel...

Re: A Somewhat Political Photo Story - Organ Pipe National Monument

Sad, sad, sad !!!

I'm so gullible that there was a time I believed EVERYTHING I read, heard or was told. I have improved some. I NOW don't believe anything until I can verify the source, so don't expect much from me because I will only ask WHY !!!

Minnie, I don't want to speak too soon. The site seems to be working now, or maybe just a coincidence? I'll keep my fingers crossed for a little while.

Re: 'Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay'

Oooo, Dave! This one pulled me in. It felt ominous at first, then the white boats seemingly unaffected implied “we got this, no need to worry.” So then I had to explore every pixel as to why this fortress of a town, muscled pier, and fearless clutch of sea goers were safe against the powers of natu...
