Re: Subdued Sunset

Cool !!! Overcast creates soft lighting during the golden hour. Would have loved for us to have some morning fog .... just once !!! I'm sure you have a variety of images of the lighthouse to display and we'll be waiting for them to popup in due time.

Re: Yellow Swampscape

Yesterday was a very yellow morning, so I went to the swamp to see how it looked in that light. There was a little haze that sort of fuzzied everything up, but when I shot to correct for it, the pictures got too dull to be interesting since none of the trees have turned except the tupelos and sweet...

Re: Last Sunset on Swim-Beach

A lovely scene Minnie. I agree the sky is a little blown out on the left, but I'm sure you have a correction already in store. The boat leading us out to the water to the other boats make for excellent composition.

Re: 'Life Saver'

While on Monhegan island, we took what seemed like a short day trip to the D.T. Sheridan Shipwreck. There is a display of a lifebuoy not far from the shipwreck and hopefully this will never have to be used. This was taken with a 16mm f2.8 fisheye at a low angle point of view. I wanted something dif...

Re: Minne's NEW 2019 52

Catching up from last weekend: Theme: Spooky The grandsons like me to make composites of them, and Halloween gave me a good opportunity with the youngest. Here's the original and the one we created from it. Minnie, I absolutely love this composite. I'm sure your grandson feels the same. Definitely ...

Re: 'Waitin' on Forrest Gump' (Composite)

This is another day to night composite of Marshall Point Lighthouse located at Port Clyde, ME. The original image was taken in the late morning hours with Minnie & her husband Gene, in the foreground. I decided to make this into a composite by removing the distracting people, adding a different sky...

Re: 'Waitin' on Forrest Gump' (Composite)

Not real sure how to explain this but here goes..I do like the image for sure...for me yes for a composite in answer your question..I tend to lean with Duck on more detail brought out in the scene..as is, as dark as it is it's harder to believe the light cast on this side (the back side) of forrest...
