Re: A Bird And A Bow

I think it is gorgeous as is. I do agree with Duck that the right side could be "burned down" a little since its value is slightly higher than the monolith on the left (and incidentally, I really like this stark, utilitarian dam; it sets off the beauty wonderfully). I think the compositio...

Re: A Bird And A Bow

I sure do love the sturdy framing of the middle, made by the verticals of the structure. It occurred to me this is one of the few where I can visualize the location - if not a dam, then perhaps underneath a bridge. I do love the mystery puzzles of many of your series, but this is a highly engaging ...

Excellent resource, these are wonderful places that never have big crowds and offer both wildlife and amazing scenery.

Re: A Bird And A Bow

My initial gut reaction was, "color? Really? Why?" Your black and white images had such intensity to them. Then I went back to have a second look and realized that not all were black and white as I had thought. I think it's just this one has the most amount of color I've seen so far in th...

A Bird And A Bow

I never know where to put the dam birds, they aren't really bird photos but they aren't anything else in particular either. So here's one from last night. The water makes rainbows around sunrise and sunset when it's pretty powerful like it is right now, and sometimes I use that to make fanciful imag...

Re: What Is This Awful Purdy Shrub?

I don't know what it is either, or why it has done what it's done with those spots, but I see why you had to "take a picher" of course. It's also one of those that even though phone-made, you can load into PS and tinker with - crop it, fiddle with colors, make it even more abstract. Good s...

Re: My Calla Lily Season 2017

Thank you for continuing to share your calla lily project. I will never get tired of it. Each one is a unique artwork, including "Yesterday's" which is one of my favorites in the set. Exquisite toning, and a great visual puzzle.

Re: Pink Hills - a terrible beauty

Cheatgrass is an invasive, non-native and nasty (burrows into dog's paws and people's socks) species that prevents native grasses from growing, promotes wildfires and is changing the ecology of the west. It seems particularly vibrant colored right now, as well as much more expansive than I recall (...

Re: "Yank Them Off The Sidewalk"

Here is another one from this series. This was from my older studio location which was at street level. I moved the studio around the corner just alittle over a year ago and now I'm on the 2nd floor, so now I don't have a display window like I use to. However not having that display window hasn't h...
