Re: Mount Rainier on a perfect summer day

A very nice composition. Over here in Australia, we get amazing blue skies with very few contrails where I live. Whilst the addition of clouds can be really nice, the lack of clouds as in your image can also be very effective with the right image. I like it. Well done. :)

Jeff, Pauline and Regal...

Jeff is a friend of mine. He asked me for some formal portraits of his wife Pauline and their beautiful dog called Regal. He asked me for large prints of these and they take up a part of his photo wall in his house. Jeff is a very good photographer himself and these are in the middle of his own coll...

Re: Safety Razor

I do like this Duck. I see no sign of a faint tint in this image. The clean lines and lighting work well. I do think though that the bottom of the reflection could do with just a touch more light by perhaps changing the angle or height of the right hand light source. A very minor nit pick... Well do...

Re: Social headshot

Duck, I do like this one. I think the expression is captured well and compliments the processing and framing of the image.
Very nice.. :)

Re: Expressions

C & C appreciated. Whilst the expression is ok, for me the issue is the lack of focus on key parts of the image. The strands of hair at the top left are sharp, yet the eyes aren't. For me this seems just out of focus and it detracts from the image. I think that even with soft images, the eyes s...

Re: Bit of a vent (and relief)

Thank you all for listening to the complaining. Not my usual thing but I was annoyed. I guess I like to treat people the way I would like to be treated. Occasionally though it bites me on the arse when people show their true colours...

Bit of a vent (and relief)

Back in late August, I was approached by an out of town construction company to take some images of a new building they had built. The owners wife contacted me for the shoot and we met the following day at the location to discuss the images required. We walked through the building discussing images,...

Re: Maja... A head shot.

Very nice John! Thank you Tom. Holy crap, John! This is a great shot. There's not much to critique here. Looking at some of your earlier work, this is leaps and bounds above in quality. Awesome. The only flaw I really see (other than minor editing nitpicks, which I'll mention at the end of this pos...
