Some local artists

A couple of local artists had a meet and greet with interested people awhile ago. They could come and watch the artist work and ask or just watch them at work. Olivia White and Karl James are both very talented people and are delightful to watch and chat with. 1) http://www.johnmurrayphotography.com...

Re: In the fountain NYC

Well duck I’ll try since you did post in critique... Here is a consistent problem I seem to keep getting into and I'm not sure it's me, Lightroom or my hardware. When I process images in Lightroom they look fine in the Develop Module but when I export them they seem to get processed a bit darker. I...

Re: Shampoo

Hmm, I find it hard to critique baby photos as people do form an emotional attachment to their subject... However, since you have asked... I find the image pleasing, not necessarily a stand out though. In regards to the crop or framing, I find it isn't close enough for my taste OR isn't far enough t...

Re: Dragonflies at the pond

Duck, that first image in particular works really well for me. With a darkened background, I feel it really brings the subject forward into the image.... Well done. :)

Pt Lowly dawn...

Here is an image I shot March, 2015. I am slowly revisiting older work with fresh eyes. There's nothing here that is particularly appealing to me but it is a record of the visit....

Re: After the Sandstorm

Dave, I've looked at and come back to this image a number of times trying to think of how I could word my response... Regarding the composition, I really do like this. However, I feel it is let down a lot by the processing. I have seen many similar scenes and skies over here in Australia. I just fee...

Re: Arden Vale Road in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia.

I can't comment on your perception of colour etc as I have no idea of your monitor or calibration. Colour, pop, etc etc I have found is an area that is hard to gauge in an sRGB browser with monitor calibrations, monitor qualitiy and ambient viewing conditions varying so widely.. So true, I often wo...

Re: Jeff, Pauline and Regal...

Jeff is a friend of mine. He asked me for some formal portraits of his wife Pauline and their beautiful dog called Regal. He asked me for large prints of these and they take up a part of his photo wall in his house. Jeff is a very good photographer himself and these are in the middle of his own col...

Re: An early Athina image..

This is an image I took awhile ago of Athina.... A good shot with excellent light. I would only question the highlights on the inside of her left ankle. You need to look it over some more onslow under the chair right of the post is a black spot and there are some hair strands floating. Cheers for t...
