Re: Event Photography Sales Avenues

Well, it's only one person getting pierced and he's a friend of ours so... I'll have to do some research to find out who the editors are of some of the body art magazines are and see if I can pitch them an article or at least photos from the event. If anyone knows what the going rate for magazine ph...

Re: Election night victory..

Yes, I agree, overall a nice series. Well exposed and great capture of the expressions. There is one thing that stands out for me though and I'll illustrate it with your first two images. The issue can be summed up like this, "what is the subject reacting too?" In the first image you can s...

Re: hot and cold

This is a great shot on many levels. Lighting-wise it's well done considering you were shooting through glass and that interiors are usually darker, which often pose problems in itself. Hey Pop, cute image. Has potential.
So, what is it you were trying to accomplish with this piece?
I think if we knew then maybe you'd get some focused comments from the group.

Re: New Year's Resolution

Actually Tom, that's a great suggestion. In the past I have thought about committing to a P52 simply because i don't think I would have the time to do a P365.

New year, new project. I really have no excuses, right?

Re: Sunset Skies

I see your point, specially with the black and white version. However, even though the sky gets diminished to background status rather than principal subject, that black and white conversion is pretty darned good (for a rather mundane photo). I think I am really liking this section of the site. It a...
