Re: New Year's Resolution

Actually Tom, that's a great suggestion. In the past I have thought about committing to a P52 simply because i don't think I would have the time to do a P365.

New year, new project. I really have no excuses, right?

Sunset Skies

The other day my wife and I were on our way to a visit with the grand kids. On the way there we made a couple of stops to run some last minute errands. One of those stops was at the local shopping center where I was greeted with this scene. I grabbed my camera and took this one singular shot before ...

Re: Test

I went a more traditional way, no funky effects or filters. First part was to normalize the image in Camera Raw (white bal, color and contrast) on import into PS. Once in PS the first thing I did was remove those annoying branches around her and cleaned up the hair. I then shifted the background exp...

Re: Project 365 Guidelines

365 projects are self imposed. They are, in simple terms, "an excuse to play with the camera". Most of us here are fairly attached to our cameras so a 365 is not that difficult a task. However, if you don't feel like committing to this type of project then consider either a Project 52 or j...

Re: Changing skin tone

If you are considering digitally changing a person's ethnicity that is a monumental task. There are other aspects involved than simply changing hue. Specular highlights interact differently on darker skin than on Caucasian skin. There are also the transitions from one skin type to another such as ar...
