Re: Jack the Wasp

I really love how this is coming along. If you're interested, I just posted a quick tutorial on how I approach these actions. Check it out at Artistic Photoshop Action Tips in the tutorial section. Hopefully you can find some little nugget of info to help you on your process here.

Re: Soft Pencil Sketch action on a portrait

I keep coming back to pumpkin man and keep looking at it - it speaks to me I think. I am convinviced it is my favorite image of the moment since I look at it so much. I have an image of a hornet climbing a vine that I intend to run through the color pencil routine and I think it will lend itself ni...

Re: Good News

That image is way too funny. At least you have some good memories to take away with you after all is done.

A wonderful photo, full of character and interest. However, I think you confused the word rusty with crusty.

Re: Suggested changes to the critique section to enhance education

I only know what I know... so if I fail to ask for something that You know, please bring it to the surface. Now having said this, the burden of clarity and need should come from the original poster. The greater value is in the Specific. best is Clear, Concise Communication. We must all carefully th...

This is indeed great news. I can't think of a more dreaded word than the 'C' word. I am so relieved to hear you have come through this ordeal for the better.

Re: Suggested changes to the critique section to enhance education

I have learned SO much from all of you here, and in other online groups. You have been my teachers, my critics, my encouragers, and my friends. Though I'm very interested in offering more information along with images so that critics know more about what I'm trying to do, I am reluctant to set very...

Re: Suggested changes to the critique section to enhance education

Hm. For me this is a toughie. I don't think I am any good at critique. I'm also a wimp. If I don't care for a picture I bypass it, like in my "virtual gallery" where, if something stops me to take a longer look that's one thing, but if an image leaves me cold (for whatever reason) I just walk on by...

Re: Black & White editing

Thanks Duck. I knew a little of what you wrote as it affects photos taken with my Nikon or Sony. But my Leica M Monochom does not have any color filters. Only luminance. Does that suggest TWO videos? Sure, complicate things, why don't you. As I understand it the Leica Monochrom does not use the sta...
