Re: My Image - Your Look: The Golden Gate

I looked the file again and it says it's 1.9MB. I'll have to figure that out... I'm also curious how you got her upright too. Thank you! S- 20170118_112809.jpg It downloaded in the upright position. But it would have been an easy matter to rotate it with almost any editing program. I used PhotoShop...

Re: My Image - Your Look: The Golden Gate

The file downloaded as 78.3 k, not enough to do any cropping, and somewhat limited for other editing. I'm not sure what you had in mind but I played with it awhile this morning. This is my first go at it.

Re: Revenge on the Honey Thief

I've never tried something like this and am curious where you got the bear from. S- The bear came from a negative I scanned of a black and white photo I took with my Spartus box camera in Yellowstone National Park over 60 years ago when I was 11 years old. (Still have the camera). Changed it to sep...

Revenge on the Honey Thief

Since PM does not have a category for digital photo manipulation, I guess this is the next best place to post these photos. I first created the 'mechanical' swarm, then decided it needed to have a purpose so added the bear which is technically wildlife.

Re: Whooping Cranes

Thanks. I only wish I had had more time to watch and photo them. They were far enough away that my presence did not bother them, but it did present a challenge getting halfway decent photos without a tripod with the camera I had..

Re: Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge

It really is an amazing building. It even has microphones mounted outside to pipe in the bird calls. I haven't really had any problems shooting through the glass other than the fact that many of the birds are sometimes quite far away as most of them were during this visit.

Re: Whooping Cranes

A couple more shots. Unfortunately, I didn't have much time to watch them because shortly after I arrived some students came out to practice at the athletic field near the cranes and they took off.

Whooping Cranes

Went to Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge in Decatur, Alabama hoping to see some of the endangered whooping cranes that winter there. The three that were visible from the Observation Building were so far away they were little more than white blips in a sea of grey sandhill cranes. But I was told that...
