Re: Sometimes Clouds Aren't Just Sky Clutter....

Really stunning image! Somehow, especially the way the seem to follow the road, they almost look like spaceships hovering overhead.

Re: Cracker Jacks

Nice yummy photo of nostalgia-food. Do they still come in the old product box? If so, that would make a nice shot too. Nostalgia sells! (And they've been around more than 50, I can personally vouch for that as a sworn eyewitness). These were in a plastic snack bag with a cheap paper "toy surpr...

Re: Good Morning from Alabama

That's just plain gorgeous! Terrific clouds, and that little keyhole of mountains nestled in the frame of trees - you oughta print this one. Thanks Minnie. Until two days ago, through the years that I have lived here, that little keyhole of mountains which I really love, had become obscured by tree...

Re: A mantis and a turtle

I like that red-eyed male box turtle very much. Cars and road crossings make life/survival very tough for them and last I saw they were endangered. Go slow mowing tall grass! We've had a mild summer so far with lots of rain. Things are growing like crazy! He was indeed a male - had a concave lower ...

Re: A mantis and a turtle

That turtle may not have been as cooperative as you wished, but you got a jam-up good shot of that baleful eye staring right at you. The coloring and detail on the shell is wonderful. the mantis is nice too. He was willing to give you a (rather coy) sidewise look so you got faces in all three of yo...

Re: Otis

I love backstories and am all the happier you added this, but I have to wonder who's helping who. You are blessed to have such a good friend! S- Well, I often tell Otis that he is probably lucky, but that he would probably have been luckier if he had found a family with young ones he could play wit...

Re: Otis

A powerful, moving story of how you two found each other, and a wonderful decade of love you've enjoyed together. Sweet photo! Thanks Linda, I had acquired most of my cats in similar ways. Like a hobo sign on a sidewalk pointing to a generous house, I was sure neighborhood cats placed a sign somewh...
