Re: Foggy canyon made brighter

Haven't been here for a while, and missed some of your work, Linda. Must say I like these very much. I like the solitude expressed in the location but also the atmosphere - it looks cold with just a hint of dampness, but at the same time they convey warmer times just minutes away with signs of the s...

Bluebells

It was a dour Winter here, poor light, damp, wet, and cold. I couldn't find the inspiration to get out there and try something, but hopefully I've rediscovered my mojo. Another image that has been shown on other fora, and commented on by some photomentorians. This shot of bluebells I went out to cap...

Watery motion and Reflections.

A recent visiting pro. to our club challenged us to find a point between a milky water flow and a millpond reflection to show both movement of water and a reflection. I took this in England's New Forest rather hurriedly, but I'm reasonably pleased with this, one of a series in my first attempt. It h...

Re: The Moon Over Callanish

Very real, but so imaginary as well. The shot is nicely proportioned and the black and white a work of art. We don't need to know there are others there and the shadows I took for minor undulations in the ground (at first glance). I'm imagining the Druids marching forward for a prayer, a sacrifice, ...

Re: Crazy Winter weather on the East Coast

We used to hear that whatever the Eastern U.S. got, we'd get later. Not strictly true - but it might affect the airborne Gulf Stream allowing Arctic winds to sweep in. And our forecast is for COLDER!

Re: Merry Christmas

No layers in word. Just copy and paste. Put your main image on the page and right click for options. Choose text wrapping and behind text. You can now drag the image to anywhere on the page and resize it to full page etc. Now, anything else you copy and paste will appear on top of your base image. R...

Re: Merry Christmas

Thank you, Linda, I'm going to go with Minniev theme and try to beat it into submission! However, I may call on you later. This shot is a good example of taking a camera with you. I went round to my niece's to get her partners car started on a cold and frosty morning (it's not good to know a little ...

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas Photo Mentorians. I know it's a day late but I struggle a bit with layers and things and hadn't progressed much much when I tried to do this in Elements. So I fell back WORD and snipped a jpeg resulting in a low res. image. But the message remains the same! A local landmark, this tel...

Re: Everyone around here knows this!

Many thanks for all the suggestions. I'll work on them and see this as a possible November image for a calendar project I'm helping with.
