Matt, a bit a MinnieSermon if you can bear it: Never resist posting, especially when you have doubts about an image. The most helpful feedback you get will be about images that you have doubts about. Those who respond will either soothe your doubts or validate them, and some may have good suggestio...

Re: 'Class Act'

I just recently went to Keeneland Racecourse in Lexington, Ky. A first for me and will happily return. I was amazed at how most folks dressed for this event and while many smoking big cigars. This gentleman was just one of the many I witnessed and I DO consider him a 'Class Act' Comments and/or any...

Re: Puff

Interested in anything one might have to say about this image.....but wondering if there is any impact felt at all. When I saw the title in the list, I thought of the Magic Dragon and immediately looked for him in the sky. Couldn't find him. So I looked without searching and loved what I saw. Remin...

Re: Monthly Masters' Discussion- Oct 2017 - Gursky's Rhein II

Minnie, Welcome home. Take care of the leg. Photographers need to get around and be nimble, and be quick. I enjoy the tonal range in the first, and the muted tones in the second. I would have thought Rhein II for the first but not for the second; it doesn't contain enough contrast and density for me...

Re: Barn With Red Door

Minnie, Superb dof, front to back. And I especially appreciate the muted colors of fall; too often, fall foliage photos are juiced up beyond recognition. And that door speaks to a sense of whimsey on the owner's part. The fence post and tree just to its left are in such sharp focus that they create ...

Re: Matt's Project 52: A Year in B&W

Thanks Linda. I took that one from the street (Street Photography?) which allowed the low angle since the lawn sits above a 5-foot wall. So the pumpkins were at eye level. We head back to MD next week leaving New England behind till next year so I need to keep my finger on the shutter while here. T...

Re: Happy elephant in the clouds

Thanks, Minnie. I don't recall what processing I did for the first; I'll go back and experiment. I saw only the elephant in the sky (not Lucy with diamonds) and the reflection on the water but may have instinctively seen the third because I recall that I moved from side to side several times to fram...

Re: The Watcher

Dave, This one doesn't work for me. The seeker disappears for some reason; too much other stuff in the photo for me. Matt
