Re: Baby step in PS: Ta Dah!

I've been a masking nut for as long as I've been in digital, now more than 10 years. I started with PS Elements which has most of the important PS tools. Three or so years ago I got into full-dress Photoshop and lately have been using the relatively new Select and Mask tool. Duck is SO right: "...s...

#52-61: The Singing Cossack

Imagination takes flight. I can't wander too far, especially when it's sunny. So I shot this in our neighbor's backyard around 6 pm. Even then, I got a burn. Suffering for our art. And the pM community.

Re: Street photo around Yale campus

One aspect of Yale that appeals to me is that its walls contain the main campus. The other Ivies lack that, especially Harvard and Penn. The walls in the visitor write-up carry on that theme and modernize it. With apologies, it also resembles the Wailing Wall; I would imagine a lot of that goes on t...

Re: Street photo around Yale campus

Yale is my favorite of the Ivies; this doesn't look at all like it belongs to the university. So it is a welcome view of how the school has evolved; someone has allowed a departure from their architecture and I am sure the faculty ranted when this went up. For me, the mood captures more of a British...

Hint: I turned it a half turn, but it didn't really matter.
That center thingy looks like a hinge; drying rack?

Re: Photo Rorschach -- what is it?

Duck, I was going to guess it is your light umbrella, but I don't think that has anything to do with either bells or your head. I'll keep puzzling and puzzling, like the Grinch. Matt

Re: Minnie's 52

A gift to you from the wheel, Minnie, and from you to us. Enchanting. Well done, especially the second. And I smiled at the peek-a-boo of the first; very playful .. Matt

Re: Baby step in PS: Ta Dah!

Duck, In the tutorial, the instructor used the brush tool, and suggested clicking ctrl + opt which turned the brush into a red circle on the visible photo. Dragging l or r, changed the size, up or down changed the softness. To work the tiny edges, i used the smallest brush I could which was still vi...
