Re: Jack the Wasp

As a suggestion, do some pre processing cleanup and enhancement. For example, at this point you have discovered that the stick up the butt is an issue. Clone it out completely. As for the colors... add a saturation layer to boost the colors prior to running the action. After a while of this back an...

Re: Jack the Wasp

One more shot at the thing.... I don't see this as an improvement, but I ran another action on the image, on the pencil drawing image. I hated the results, but there were a lot of interesting colors, so I thought I would save and blend in the colors that I found useful. Someday I will be smart enoug...

Re: Jack the Wasp

Please explain to me what you mean by "paint" here: I placed an empty layer and with a large soft brush set to a high opacity I painted the wasp and the vines to the left. I left the edges of the wasp slightly soft but I used repeated strokes in the center areas of the wasp. I'm not sure if you're ...

Re: Batching Plant

I like it rough and wild instead of smooth and slick. But your super composition is what makes it work. I like it best as well but thought maybe everyone was tired of my gimmicky action....and thank you Piet. While I do like the original it just seemed to blah.. One thing you could do that would be...

Re: Batching Plant

I really like that action on this industrial landscape - personal preference... I like it rough and wild instead of smooth and slick. Love the color play and the hard edges on the clouds. But your super composition is what makes it work. Love that diagonal line and the windy path that leads us in pa...

Re: Jack the Wasp

Wonderful artistic rendering. I would never have thought of bug-art, but this is beautiful. Your color enhancement works well. Did you bring in any of the original image with layers, or is all this the resulting pencil sketch? Is this an action where you control the area that is "worked on" before ...
