it works for me, the light on the flagstone is wonderful (though for spooky, a smaller patch of it might serve).. The bright shirt is a nice counterpoint to the medieval stonework. This would be a cool place to see in another 400 years, after the flagstone and steps gets so that it doesn't look so c...

like the B/W, really like the background on the second, but don't like the green of the flower itself - just a personal dislike of that particular color. But the reds and yellows and orange on the background work well with it.

thanks for that extensive list.. on the quick redo, I muted the colors on the texture more, and I did a horizontal motion blur - that helped remove some of the vertical lines that were pulling my eyes down (I think)..

Great stuff Frank, thanks for sharing. That last one of the horse reminds me of someone... reminds me of what Donald must have looked like in his youth. Though I am pretty sure the other end looks pretty much the same. We are naughty, Piet. with that one, I just can't help myself.... sigh...

this is my favorite of your swamp images. The depth is amazing, I would call it "hallway of mirrors" or some such. I love the tones and the richness of color.
