Thank you very much, Martha. I'm looking forward to using this camera/sensor/technique a lot more now.

Re: Finally

Minnie, yes, the software is designed to analyze test photos and apply the results to the individual photos that are then stitched. It was a matter of taking advantage of a holiday sale price for the software or spend a year or two writing code to do the same thing. I chose the quicker of the two. W...

Re: Finally

Thanks, Psjunkie. It's been a year long project. But a rewarding one, if one like solving puzzles.

Finally

As some of you may have noted, I've posted some technically challenging photo or photos here in the near past. I mentioned some of the technical issues still being addressed at that time. It appears I have finally solved 99.9% of them. Here are the re-processed photos. The main issue was the Lens Co...

Re: More Than Meets The Eye

Piet, I'm just persnickety enough that I want the correct color to do the black and white conversion. I feel that the correct shades of gray will be inaccurately rendered if the colors aren't correct in the first place. Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment. That is appreciated. --Bob very ...

Re: More Than Meets The Eye

Psjunkie, I'm aware of that. This is one of those work on one issue at a time. First was having custom camera parts made, the second was working through issues with adapter plates, etc. I was thrilled to get this image this far. There are a few other small issues, but those are being resolved as I w...

Re: More Than Meets The Eye

Minnie. thank you very much for looking and your comments. As for the colors, yes, there are a few small things that are involved with this process. I've been working at resolving each along the way. A lot of them were just getting the camera ready for this sort of thing. Now, we're down to the actu...

More Than Meets The Eye

This is actually 6 images made with a 4x5 view camera. The sensor was mounted to a shift-stitch plate which is attached to the camera through a Graflok back. A 2 horizontal row/6 vertical column array of images was photographed by shifting the back within the image circle projected by the lens. Thos...

Re: Porters

Psjunkie, thank you very much for that vote of confidence. I was actually supposed to shoot this bar as part of the decorations for another bar. Projects came up, money became a bit scarce, then this quarantine issue put a hold on that. That's ok because, in the interim, I've solved a year old naggi...

Porters

Some history and a future prediction. The story predates the current building use, which is now the saloon mentioned in the story.
