'A favorite character in New Orleans'

With all the walking in New Orleans I developed a blister between my toes, took a break and went in a corner store for Band-Aids. Walking by as I was leaving the store was this individual pushing/pulling a shopping cart with his dog inside the cart. I was able to work the scene some with his approva...

Re: Treasued_conversation

Good to know......I didn't care for it at first but after looking at it on and of it grew on me and is also my choice. Thank you both for comment. Sometimes image processed modes will play "Mind Games" with you Frank. I agree, it's the second one for me as well, but the overall scene is a cherished...

Dave, Love the face but not the overall treatment. Too soft and smokey; might have expected more of your grit approach. Matt

Thanks Matt, I understand !!! I still have some issues to be ironed out. Some of my comments to Frank would apply here as well.

Re: 'Weeping Guitarist'

I'm still up in the air on the processing Dave..I liked it on the surfer and some of your others but not sure of it here... Understandable Frank !!! I have found that this style of processing isn't for every image/subject and actually not to everyone's tastes as well. However, to compare this image...

Re: New Orleans Ladies #7

This is one where I did not visualize the end when I took it or when I started editing it. I shot it expecting it to be one that was too edgy to present, but once I started working with it, the lady became more beautiful and the end product became more upbeat, and more artistic than grungy. But you...

Re: 'Weeping Guitarist'

Here's my version and as you can see, it has far less impact and interest than yours. I didn't see the potential the way you did. Your version is an excellent one Minnie. I like very much the point of view and the color tone. I usually struggle with the microphone in the face. Here you have managed...

Re: 'Weeping Guitarist'

this is awesome - my critique would be that the color in the guitar steels too much from the lady. I too would love a blow-by-blow description of how you edit your images! Thanks Piet, I appreciate your thoughts and comments. I agree, the guitar does take away from her. In some sort of sense I want...

Re: 'Weeping Guitarist'

On the streets of New Orleans I couldn't pass by this young lady without capturing a few shots. I took a few, walked away only to return for more. She had such a lovely voice and put some emotional expression into her street performance. After viewing some, but not all of the images I took, I decid...
