'The Future Ain't What it Used to Be'

A composite in the works as always. Not sure if this one appeals to most.

Re: Hey Hay Hey

Steve, I like the looks of both images for various reasons. The original for the lighting and hazy background and the edited version for the much clearer perspective, but I think I'm leaning towards the original to be a favorite here. This image is also an encouragement for a return trip to Yellowst...

Re: A close-up bit of a pussywillow tree

Spring is busting out all over, though they're predicting some snow for Sunday :| Your impressions and suggestions would be appreciated. Texture added to background, sharpening tool used (hopefully sparingly) on the buds. Color tone is an attention getter Linda. The textured layer and depth of fiel...

Re: Dave's Project 52

Week #7 of Project 52 and a much needed "mind meld" from me is in order for creative ideas of subject matter. ... There's a power and beauty to these images that remind of something I'd see in a gallery showing. It's your composition and use of space, and the processing of course, but it's more tha...

Re: three from today

thanks Matt, Frank, Dave, Linda -- 1, and 2 were documentation of things I had not seen before. 3 was a dream/mood interpretation of what might have been. The birds were shot the same morning, the attached is what I started with after ACR processing of raw file. It seemed boring and washed out. I t...

Re: three from today

was a nice day and we went to the beach - saw an oystercatcher and an eagle, was surprised both times. could have gotten closer to the eagle, but damn battery went dead on me - that will teach me!! Piet, will have to agree, all three are well composed and excellent images, but the third one is by f...

Dave, These are wonderful; great range of tones, creative cropping, inventive framing. I especially like #3; no surprise with my leaning toward the dark side. Well done. Matt
Thanks Matt. Glad that you lean towards the dark side as well. Now I don't feel so all alone.

Love the point of view Bob. Just enough exposure and detail to show what the subject happens to be. Love it !!!
