Re: A study in dueling

Based on Piet's and Minnie's comments, that I agree with, it's the depth of field that grabs my attention. Very well done.

Re: 'End of the Innocence'

Interesting “silky” processing. It seems to work for this image because of what it makes of that light coming from back of the chair. I do agree with those who feel the blackboard is too evident, and a crop eliminating some of it might help us focus on the real magic of the image. Thanks Minnie !!!...

Re: 'End of the Innocence'

We all pretend to be photogs, but in reality we are artists that continually explore our inner visions. Love the finish. Maybe too many elements so that I don't know what it is I am supposed to be looking at, But the light falling on the chair is something. How about another picture in the same sty...

Re: 'End of the Innocence'

I think there is potential here - perhaps crop or else do something else with the blackboard. The glimmer glow effect (or whatever we can call the fogginess) isn't working for me fully - I think it lit the chair up too much. And here is the problem perhaps, the girl should be more the subject, but ...

Re: Dave's Project 52

Cool. For a second, I thought those tall things with globes on top in front of the restaurant were Texaco pumps. Old time convenience store; fill 'er up while you fill up. Matt Matt, there were a couple of gas pumps with the globes on top, just not Texaco. This was taken at Quaker Steak and Lube ht...

Re: Minnie's 52

I’m trying to keep up my 52 while traveling. I’m on my trip to Vancouver Island, with just my ipad. Thankfully I had an easy theme, black and white, so I could at least post something. This is from Sand Beach near Jordan River along the Pacific Coast trail. Accessing these beaches is pretty arduous...
