Re: Journey to Monhegan - ongoing image thread

This one may not be very artistic but I hope you can see the possibilities of all the compositions you can make our of the lobster rope coils that are EVERYWHERE. IN fact, I'd love to see what someone makes of this SOOC image with cropping and processing. The compositions on the island appear to be...

Re: 'Simba & Nala' (Composite)

This is a composite of a male lion (Simba) and a female lioness (Nala). Both were in the same exhibit at the Cincinnati Zoo taken (6/3/19) my first and only visit this year. Since I was not able to capture them together, I decided to try a composite by placing the lioness in with the male lion, for...

Re: 'Simba & Nala' (Composite)

Very realistic Dave.....my only nitpik is the grass right of her paws...the blurriness(fogginess) is light enough in color or brightness(not sure how to describe it) to draw my eye....I think some negative offset on an exposure adjustment layer masked in and opacity to taste might resolve......Ther...

Re: Journey to Monhegan - ongoing image thread

Morning from lighthouse hill Interesting, lovely image ... and exciting !!! Hope it's not much of a hike to obtain that level. Dave The hike up that hill is steep, but not far. And it leads to the lighthouse and the distant view of the village. I'm as challenged as you, so I just go really slow. Th...

Re: King

This piece was inspired by Psjunkie submission titled Caged. I took this grand fellow in Taronga Zoo, here in Sydney some years back. The original had a female sitting next to him on the left side of frame, but he dominated. Did a simple conversion in On1 PhotoRaw. Darkened his paws with a linear g...

This week’s theme - texture. I love texture even though it doesn’t make for dramatic photos. Here’s a few samples from this past weekend.

I'm sure the chair photo would look fabulous with some grunge of some sort applied. Then maybe the dramatic appeal will shine !!!
