Sensor Cleaning..AGAIN!!

Sensor Cleaning: Yeah I know been done to death, but it is something many of us have to contend with all the time. My camera is a Canon 1dsMkii and dust collection seems to be it's happy pastime. We all have our favourite methods and I for one am not saying for anyone in any way to change, I'm just ...

Re: Wife & Husband

Matt; This picture is so reminiscent of Ernst's other work. For me ( and only me ) it's a lighting study and pose of the woman and I have taken out all the other details from my mind to concentrate on that area. The flag ( if I can call it that ) across the woman's chest is something I cannot recall...

Thx for your reply. Yes I have heard of stacking, but never in macro and now that I come to think of it, it seems logical.

Re: Tiny Things: A Learn-and-Share Activity Thread = Join In!

OK. I'm lost..
Never heard of "frame stack"
I have a kit of Kenko lens extenders. For my needs, it is all I require.

5x using MP-E 65 -- 30 frames stack
10x using Nikon objective on 200 mm lens -- 27 frames stack
20x using Nikon objective on 400 mm lens -- 30 frame stack

Kind regards;

Re: Prairie Sentinals

Thx RBorud. Went through all my brushes, but could not get the effect you obtained. So I'm going to assume the build up was not done that way. I often do not have any clear idea in which direction I go when I do fantasy work, but it is only for my own pleasure anyway. Please post more. I will look f...

Re: Prairie Sentinals

Wow, what a picture. I love the scene within a scene and the texture overlay is executed so well. I am always fascinated in how these "fantasy" ( sorry my terminology ) pictures are built up. Did you have a clear idea when you started, or did you build up on a succession of ideas? The back...

Re: Ringing of the Bell

Evocative pictures Ernst. Lovely portrayal
As an outsider. What does " Ringing of the Bell Ceremony" mean.
Is it vets from all wars who die or those who die in combat?
Kind regards;
