Re: Joy at sunset

Hi, Matt,

I thought it a lovely image at first glance...and the little scene of the child tossed in the air is a wonderful lagniappe.

Re: Invasion of privacy?

Hi, Matt,

Re: Strings

Hi, Matt, I especially like #2,but have been slow to respond until I figured out why I was still a bit uneasy about it. Finally figured out that the shiny shelf bracket behind the neck of the far left violin was a distraction. Perhaps carefully burning in for darkening would reduce its distractive e...

Pulling depth out of 2D Graphics:

Pulling depth out of 2D Graphics: I find it interesting how even 2D graphic artworks can supply monocular depth cues to depth perception that can be utilized to produce stereo image pairs. Here are a couple of examples. Your comments and critiques are requested. Dave 69DC59D2-9DC0-4B84-9D35-943C504B...

Re: Walk This Way

A wonderful image, Steve, The egret mirroring...and its leg at the same moment perpendicularly intersecting the angle of the linear light and shadow...and those geometric eff3cts offset by the massive, dark negative space... marvelous balance.... and final touch of the foot just barely stopped in it...

Re: "Your Kind Is Not Welcome Here"

I'm gonna share this for any discussion or just for looking, because it is a risky topic - how living creatures segregate themselves. We humans are the worst. I stumbled into this social commentary while returning from a day at the newly opened Civil Rights Museum in our capital city. It is an awe-...

Re: A sense of place?

The Yakima River Canyon in fog this morning Snow and fog...you also captured the feeling of damp coldness getting through to my skin! Other than the switch-back cow(?) paths in #2,I see no trace of activity, human or otherwise. I get the feeling it was windless/ breezeless, and very quiet. Looks li...
