Re: Whimsy

something very iconic, perhaps even biblical about the second image. Absolutely love the light and the detail.. On the last image, I want a crop at the shoulders or so, knocking the butt out - gorgeous light giving us those beautiful backlight edges. The bark pun was cute - whimsical, but the other...

Re: "Art" out of Ice?

Just my personal reactions: 1. Soothing cool, with stimulation from lines vs. circles + crackling textures. Holds my interest to check out all the complexities. 2. I like the idea a lot, but feel the size difference between background leaves and main subject is a bit dissonant - I guess I want my ex...

Re: The Road

Linda, the B&W and your latest version is more pleasing to my eye. I think the difference is the color separation of the sky between to the two color versions is what does it for me. Re: lunch

Great impact for me, Piet. As Duck mentions, it's all about the angle of view with this one. Re: The Road

Minnie, thanks so much for taking a look at the re-do's. They held up overnight for me, meaning this morning with fresh eyes I'm still liking them :)

Learning new software does take time and interest and I definitely have to be "in the mood. "

I am, however, having difficulty getting use to the color tone and if it were mine I would convert to B&W. The wet road spots does not bother me and in fact, adds interest to t...
