Re: 'The Future Ain't What it Used to Be'

The toning is beautiful and the mood it evokes seems more suited to the thoughtful gentleman - who holds my attention - than the happy lady (and I'm likely just not getting the message; all me, not you!), but I am looking forward to further developments. Love your avatar photo, Dave :)

Re: Lunch at separate 'tables.'

I am hugely impressed by how your eye catches these moments. Were you detailed oriented in your worklife, Matt? It just seems like for the past few months you've spotted the potential in so many moments that many of us would miss. I really like this shot! As I wander about within the frame, I enjoy ...

Frank, re saturation: I wished I hadn't posted this til after the sun moved around and wasn't shining quite so brightly in my living room :) Isn't the first time the bright light (and usin...

Hey Linda, don't ever hesitate to ask/comment if curious or if something struck you... but was definitely wondering if I got away with it.
The image was so strong emotionally and visually that I only gave it a passing thought :|

A close-up bit of a pussywillow tree

Spring is busting out all over, though they're predicting some snow for Sunday :|

Your impressions and suggestions would be appreciated. Texture added to background, sharpening tool used (hopefully sparingly) on the buds.

Re: Not exactly a texture, not really a composite - just a lot of fun

When you see the image it makes sense, but looking at the two separate they are so different from one another it's amazing. I've always been curious about people motivations, why someone invented this, or combined this photo with that one, and of course more importantly how people see. What I love ...

Re: three from today

thanks Matt, Frank, Dave, Linda -- 1, and 2 were documentation of things I had not seen before. 3 was a dream/mood interpretation of what might have been. The birds were shot the same morning, the attached is what I started with after ACR processing of raw file. It seemed boring and washed out. I t...

Re: Two from this morning

Piet, Matt, Minnie - thanks so much! It was fun to see the sparrow land on the mirror within seconds of my turning off the car engine. For #1 I added a bit selective sharpness via a brush with sharpening tool in Elements, probably only the third time I've used that tool. The sparrow was already well...
