Re: The Road

Linda, the B&W and your latest version is more pleasing to my eye. I think the difference is the color separation of the sky between to the two color versions is what does it for me. If that makes sense. Although, B&W is always a top choice in most cases for me. Dave Thank you, Dave - very glad to ...

Re: lunch

Great impact for me, Piet. As Duck mentions, it's all about the angle of view with this one. Human responses to witnessing nature's world of hunter/hunted are so complex - I don't feel anything when I see great blue herons gulping rodents in a field, but was saddened to see a bald eagle bring a duck...

Re: The Road

Minnie, thanks so much for taking a look at the re-do's. They held up overnight for me, meaning this morning with fresh eyes I'm still liking them :)

Learning new software does take time and interest and I definitely have to be "in the mood. "

I am, however, having difficulty getting use to the color tone and if it were mine I would convert to B&W. The wet road spots does not bother me and in fact, adds interest to t...

Re: The Rainbow Factory

It's fascinating to see these larger views, mainly for context for the flights of fancy and other incredibly original fine art you create from this site. In spite of happy-color rainbow, I feel unease, the overpowering power of the dam itself. The ice is super, not just from knowing how rare it is f...

Re: Barn and Tree

Put me down for Dead-Eye too. The building seems more ominous/lonely in that version. I really like the monochrome too, it would be my favorite. Somehow the hops apparatus is a stronger part of the composition in monochrome (the shadows and clouds give that one another assist because of all those m...

Re: The Road

I like this shot a lot. I like the bright hills contrasting with the dark fore ground. I like how the road leads the eye to the ridge line on the hills. Texture in the clouds hurts on the left side (I think anyway). The road looks and feels wet, I think it adds to the composition to remain so. Perh...
