Re: Image quality comparison, please

Like you, Steve, I have both files open in tabs as I always do so I can toggle between them. I can see absolutely NO difference between them.... Thanks so much for checking, Chuck. One difference with "save for web" is it strips exif. And now that I have a new laptop which, for now anyway, I'm keep...

Re: Cypress & Ice

The motion blur of trees I've both done and seen from others is usually just from the base of the trees upwards. Your inclusion of foreground (or is this composite? I wasn't sure what you were explaining) brings additional complexity and interest. The darker shapes in middle are another terrific ele...

You should add Trixie in your foregrounds when you can. I know we'd all love that! S-
Great idea! I actually took shots of her peering through my dirty car window during last week's sunny day shoot :)

Re: Suspended Season

I'm loving the painting, great suggestion and well done! This is you! S- Thanks for your editing ideas, Steve, and glad you liked the painted! I think the ladders indicate which rows were winter-pruned or where for next group of workers to start. The ladders will be stored elsewhere for a month or ...

So...where'd you get the 4x6 Box Camera?
Your images remind me of the beautiful work done in the past by the masters. Soft, subtle, and powerful! Wow! S-
Thank you, Steve. What a wowsa compliment!

Re: Image quality comparison, please

Duck, thanks so much. You must be viewing on one of those 32" 4k screens! :) Also, I'm reminded of an older tv show on HGTV with David Bromsted (a painter/decorator). He could go into a store, see a pillow and say it was the perfect color for the room. Does your artist's background enable you to dis...

Image quality comparison, please

New computer + newest PS Elements, oh boy!

#1 - my usual resize
#2 - "save for web" option in PSE (no exif)

Any difference to those of you with sharp eyes?

Thanks much!

Re: Minnie's 52

Jan 15- Self Portrait. Ugh. Well, this is an experiment I don't think I'll do much more of, but I did want to do something kind of original, so I used the camera to take a picture of me taking a picture of myself with cell phone.. or something like that. It was the only way I could figure to get a ...

Re: salty ice

#1 has great impact for me with that strong edge of ice receding into the distance. Crazy to think of eastern Virginia being so cold as to create this kind of ice on salt water (though during my six years' living right outside DC + another 1+ year in Columbia MD, I do remember some extreme weather.)

Re: Let the Games Begin! 2018 Dam Bird Jamboree

This is fantastic! Have you posted any from this perspective before? Probably, and I just don't remember. Sure do love the wider view for the sense of size and power against the delicate birds. You could whiten that line of foreground icicles a bit more, I think. The orange rust on right hand end is...
