Re: Minnie's 52

first one obvious and well done...second not so obvious but interesting, maybe a leaf frozen in water not that it matters. The first one is crazy I know. I couldn't afford to add anything to it, it was already perverse enough. Is there such a thing as a kitchen sink abstract? The second was a littl...

Re: Rocky Mountain High

lovely rarely seen colors There is that rare day in fall when the first snow falls on the aspens, and you get the white against yellow. The leaves are gone a day or so after that. I was lucky to get there on that day. I had that luck once in the Sierras. It's better if there's some clouds, but my l...

Wow!! will be eager to see some of those shots from that ridge.
Unfortunately there wasn't much to see, pretty much of a white out till we crossed the crest, then we came to the site of the old town of Independence. I'll see if I got anything there.

Re: Chemo Update #2

In mid July, I had been declared in remission from the large B-cell lymphoma. Last week, after an MRI, the doctors found cancer in my brain. They do not know whether it is related to the lymphoma or is new; the tumors sit on the nerve that controls the movement of the left eye, causing double visio...

Independence Pass

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independence_Pass_(Colorado) This could be landmark or landscape, I guess. it's an interesting place, at 12,000 ft. Hard to breathe there, and scary since the road is right on the edge with no guardrails, sometimes narrowing to one lane that serves both directions. Sno...

Re: Minnie's 52

This week I got Abstracts. I'm gonna post two of them, because I had abstracts on my other 52 project site too, and it seemed unfair to use the same one for double duty. So here they both are, for the heck of it.

I call them Fire and Ice. Both are pretty much SOOC.

Re: Elk Love

Fabulous image Minnie !!! To my eyes, composed very well and while I see no noise issue, would also await for your newest version. The only suggestion I have is to bring up the exposure of the bull's face just a tad more. Dave Some "Google" info: Elk are also called wapiti, a Native American word t...

Re: Rocky Mountain High

It appears that the exposure and color balance of the snow is right on. Sometimes it's hard to get the proper color balance of snow, blue or gray seems to be the issue with most of us, at least me. The limb is of no distraction to me. Was it possible to have gotten a shot at a lower point of view, ...
