I usually try to single out flowers, but for some reason I like this.
Your thoughts?
Great color. I think a bunch like this deserves to be shot together and not singled out.

Re: The Rocks

Thanks for the tour of a place I've never been, and for letting me see it in day and nighttime. My favorite is the last one, those dramatic steps with that one intriguing card lying on the bottom step, and lights leading up.

Easy to see you're enjoying these minniev...no comment for improvement I try to add complexity as I go, it forces me to learn more about PS tools. I get so tangled up I seldom know what I'm about though. It's like when you're writing something and after while it gets on autopilot and the story is r...

The Road to Ucluelet

Another one of my trials without a strong subject. Just a window to the light on a mountainside of a recovering burn area in breaking fog. Relying on the frame, the light, the line up the mountainside, the V, even together they may be too subtle. All suggestions appreciated.

Fingerwork - August 17 - Texas

Here's the latest concoction, made of a photo I took last time I was in Terlingua, TX, stacked in with a scan from an old magazine illustration, a dictionary, an old postcard and of course textures and brushwork. A little different but then I never know where I'll end up once I get off on one of the...

Re: 'Sweet Hitchhiker' (composite)

Thanks Minnie, I'm not sure why my intended goal to aim towards Rockwell was all about. I wanted to take it further, but I got lost in the process and couldn't figure out how to proceed without making the image a total disaster. Something I need more knowledge and practice on if I want to pursue th...

Oh, that's nice Matt. You are following the light again here. The contrast between highlighted areas and deep shadows provides mystery and the small details in the well lit spots catch our eye.

Re: Watching_waves

Interesting version of a very nice shot. Matching poses, mom and daughter I'm guessing. My favorite part - mom's criss cross tan lines.
