(Anti) Rule Of Thirds: Day 16 - Icon
Impactful image of a place I bet you know well :D

Looks like something out of a stock portfolio, which means that it's well done!

Re: Dave's Project 52

Here it is week #3 of my project 52 and do wonder if I'm gonna be able to keep up. It is way too early to give up Dave! Hang in there. You know you it's good for us to be out on a regular basis with camera in hand! These are good images that use the receding/repeating elements of the aligned bikes ...

Re: The Road

It's a great composition, and would work well in color or monochrome. I love the textured look of the sky, but am not crazy about the color, it seems like there is too much uniformity of color with the clouds and land, too much of a good thing. I think there's ways to work with it via masking/blendi...

Re: Barn and Tree

Put me down for Dead-Eye too. The building seems more ominous/lonely in that version. I really like the monochrome too, it would be my favorite. Somehow the hops apparatus is a stronger part of the composition in monochrome (the shadows and clouds give that one another assist because of all those ma...

Re: foggy dusk

I like #2 a lot, the reddish/orangish one with a textured look in the background. That warmth seems to make the hawk really come alive. A wonderfully evocative image. And a good example of a non-centered, non-Rule of Thirds image.

Re: A cry for spring!!!

Hi All With this image I beseech all to pray for spring, oh I am cold. RBorud I am with you though my winters can't compare with yours! For us, 3 weeks of below freezing temperatures is ghastly, and we are due ice falling from the sky tomorrow. Yes, I'd welcome this beautiful purple flower with all...

Re: No Privacy

Voyeurism of a different kind....... First let me say welcome back! I can see that you were a regular participant during the first incarnation of pM, and all of us here now (some old, some new) would be so happy to have you back in the village. That is a wonderfully imaginative portrait. I'm not su...
